While outdoor winter play is great for kiddos, as a parent you may find yourself worrying about how you can keep their delicate, sensitive skin baby soft in the face of so much wind and cold. Here are three tips for keeping skin smooth, hydrated and happy all year long!
1. Before going out in the cold, slather on some Lip Balm and All Over Ointment. Winter wind and cold can be extra harsh on the most sensitive areas of little faces, like cheeks, noses and lips. Before sending them out to play, take a small swipe of our ointment, rub it in your hands, and then smooth it across your little ones’ faces. Be sure to add an application of Lip Balm as well! Our ointment and balm are made with a base of beeswax and honeysuckle extract to form a barrier over skin.
2. Moisturize after sun and cold exposure with our Dream Cream. Even when it is overcast and snowy, UV rays are still very harsh and skin is sensitive to sun damage. After coming home from a day in the cold, I moisturize everyone’s faces and hands with our Dream Cream. Orange peel oil and shea butter are both key ingredients in our cream that hydrate and condition skin.
3. Overdid it outdoors? It happens—try some Chest Rub! If your babe spent a little too much time in the elements and is feeling achey or a bit under the weather we like to start with a warm bubble bath and then follow up with some Chest Rub before bed! Gently massage a dollop onto babe’s chest or back to help them relax and get some much-needed rest.
4. Want to keep hands clean while out and about? Pack your Hand Sanitizer! Just one spritz will leave little mitts squeaky clean and it dries quickly which means no sticky hands! Our Sanitizer contains 62.5% denatured dehydrated alcohol to fight germs but we also added yummy ingredients like aloe, vitamin E and sunflower seed oil to moisturize skin. Bonus—it smells like fresh, clean lavender!
